DreamWorks Land in Universal Studios Florida

Updated: Jul 20

Universal Orlando Resort is home to some of the greatest thrills in Orlando, but the newest experiences were created with the little ones in mind. DreamWorks Land in Universal Studios Florida (USF) is a new land that is immersive and fun for kids and adults alike. There you will find Shrek's Swamp, the Trolls Trollercoaster, training with Po from Kung Fu Panda, and the DreamWorks Imagination Celebration.

Replacing the former KidZone, DreamWorks Land provides a new and improved immersive experience for kids of all ages. In Shrek's Swamp you can meet Shrek, Fiona and Donkey, play in Shrek's Swamp for Little Ogres, and grab a bite to eat at Swamp Snacks. Snacks include a Shrekzel with green cheese sauce, swamp dogs, mud puddle pudding, and more savory and sweet treats. You can also play with some cats, including Puss and Boots, at Mama Luna Feline Fiesta using interactive digital screens and visit King Harold's Swamp Symphony to play with singing frogs.

In Troll Village you'll find the Trollercoaster, a family-friendly coaster where you board a caterpillar and go on an adventure with Poppy, Tiny, and the twins. The minimum height for this ride is 36 inches to ride with a supervising companion and 48 inches to ride alone. You can also play in Poppy's Playground and get some twisty ice cream at Trolls Treats. There are two flavors available: Poppy-licious Pink (pink lemonade) and BroZone Berry (huckleberry).

All the way in the back is Panda Village where you can train in Kung Fu at Po Live! Interact with Po on a digital animated screen similar to the attraction Turtle Talk with Crush in EPCOT at Walt Disney World. Around the village you will also find interactive elements for kids, including a splash zone.

The new show in the old Barney theater is the DreamWorks Imagination Celebration featuring actors, dancers, and some of your favorite DreamWorks characters in a musical spectacular. On your way out you can visit the High Five Hideaway shop for DreamWorks merchandise, meet Gabby from Gabby's Dollhouse and other DreamWorks characters at the Character Zone, and eat at the new DreamWorks Imagination Cafe. Located in the former KidZone Pizza Company, you'll find some Ogreoni Pizza, Boss Baby Beignets, Strawberry Softpaws, Can't Stop the Donut!, and alcoholic slushies.

This land is such a fun addition to Universal Studios, adding so many great activities for the little ones. While Barney, Curious George, Fievel, and Woody Woodpecker will surely be missed, it's great to see some new faces in the area for the younger generations. This is probably our last big reveal before the opening of the new park, Epic Universe, next year. There are so many new and exciting things in store at Universal Orlando Resort just around the corner!
