Agave Azul is a Mexican restaurant with five locations throughout Orlando, Florida. This family-owned company is an excellent place for traditional Mexican food in a classy, modern environment. The interior of the Kirkman restaurant is gorgeous, and the service is fast. Even with a full dining room, we got our food in no time at all. This restaurant is really a notch above the rest when it comes to quality. service, and atmosphere.
Between four of us, we ordered two burritos with carnitas, a chimichanga with carnitas, and a chimichanga with fajita steak. Our server recommended asking for green sauce on top of the burritos instead of the red sauce that normally comes on it, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The burritos were massive, and everyone loved the carnitas. The chimichangas with loaded with queso, and the fajita steak is my personal favorite choice of meat.
Of course, we also got chips and salsa for the table. The salsa was delicious and fresh. We didn't order any fancy drinks this time, but in the past we have ordered margaritas that were excellent. They have eight different margaritas and four different cocktails to choose from. They also have various wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Their appetizers include calamari, queso, empanadas, street corn, and more. They also have shrimp ceviche, tuna tostaditas, and three different Mexican salads. Their dinners include tacos, fajitas, fish, enchiladas, flautas, churrasco, and more. I love their tacos. I've had the birria brisket tacos, which come on soft corn tortillas with cilantro and onion on top and chihuahua queso, serrano lime salsa, and Mexican rice on the side. I'm not a fan of American tacos, but I love traditional tacos. Just the meat, onions, and cilantro are enough when the meat is so flavorful.
For dessert they have churros, chocolate cake, flan, and tres leches. I've never made it to dessert, so I'll have to give an update if I ever manage to save some room for it!
